a m8 of mine said go to the one near my house its a new branch n there really good.. knowing the last one i went to killed the gear box on my old rover cos they couldnt be assd to fill up the gear oil.
so
yeh right 3 days its taken for them to do a rocker cam cover and gasket change on my car........

and they charging me best part of 100 quid grr

not happy

yeh ino..   i should have got the gasket from vauxhall the one i got didnt come with 0 rings so i know they had to get them aswell..

but still 3 days..
im not going bak there now the lads that work there are all about 12
and look like they on somthing lol..

i need a decent reliable garage that wont rip my ass off.....

On the 2.0, it is 10 bolts, a few clips, and it's off. 45 minute job.

ud think id have learnt by now..  does anyone know of a good trusted garage near reading or in berkshire??

im looking to spend a lot on this car so need some one i can trust with my baby

What do you need done?
I might be able to help depending on dates and jobs required.
Doing some LIMITED mobile mechanics, in the run up to my holiday in November :)

ok wer abouts are u from ? i live in maidenhead..

after the covers done..

next jobs would be cam belt and water pump..
 a good service 2... id like to have it runnig sweet basically..

 few other things but these will take a few weeks of working 7 days to pay for it... :y

so yeh i need to do that aswell tho..

i asked them about my cam belt and water pump to..

he said it wouldnt cost much lol bet it does....

I've never heard a good result about Mr.Clutch-at-straws yet, sadly..they can't even seem to do clutches properly, from what i've heard.  Everyone i've heard from has had problems with their cars soon afterwards from other issues relating to the clutch change - but not from the actual clutch itself, it must be said.

At those prices, even a Vauxhall dealer would have been cheaper - for something like that they would have a "book price" for it - and would have to stick to it (and argue if they don't).

Sorry to post such a negative comment - but on what planet would they charge £100 for that job?  I'd have driven over and done it for that!  Even with £40 of petrol costs i'd make £60/hour..

would cleaning the breathers be part of the cam cover n gasket change in mr clutch tho?
i doubt it myself...

hopefully it will be finished by the time i finish work tomorrow..

will let u know the finished price...

and if they cleaned the breathers....

il be having a good look at it when i get it back. grrr

and they didnt touch the breathers ...

im still not happy they scratched the spray job...
