Corner stated cause of death hanging, just shows that you never know what is going on in people's heads.

He had mental health problems for a few years, Mick. Lots of sympathetic friends, with the means to support him if necessary, but he still couldn't see a way out.
It's just such a shame that, with the amount of people jumping on this particular health issue, it's difficult to spot the genuinely sick ones.

RIP, Ricky, you were a diamond.

Being battered around the head ( or knocked out cold as was the case with Ricky) probably doesn't help with both physical and mental health

There was an ex-rugby player in the last week or so who has been diagnosed with something nasty. I can't quite remember his name. :-X

Yes Steve, it's really very sad despite all the help that he could have had he could not rid himself of his demons, an awful way to die by hanging yourself especially in the last few seconds of life, indeed may he now Rest in Peace.

Ive had two old mates hang themselves in the last ten years.
No-one saw it coming and couldnt understand why.
Afaik, serious depression is caused by a change of chemistry in the brain, and still a bit of a mystery even to medical professionals.
Medication can sometimes help, but can also make it a whole lot worse for some people.
People often say they should just pull themselves together, which according to someone who was a sufferer I know, is like telling someone with a broken leg to go on holiday and it will get better.

One of my old gaffers jumped in front of an intercity, believed to be he couldn’t handle the bullying from his gaffer

Doctors are prone to top themselves.

My Grandmother had two doctors top themselves. I suppose seeing sick people all day long isn't good for your health.
