Road tax..someones been tinkering.
« on: 03 November 2025, 07:16:42 »

 Just been checking my bank account, and all three Omegas have had around a quid put on the direct debit this month, as follows,

  2001 3.2 £36.31
  2001 3.2 £37.69
  2000 3.0 £31.50.     Two identical cars..different charge??  ::)

 I'm going to SORN two of them, until April as they hardly get used during the winter months..no point in giving the Government free money. ::)

Dont blame you, although they dont like standing around doing nothing for long periods of time.
Rust sets in and things start to seize up.
Best to move them around a bit, even just on the drive, if possible.

Don't know about monthly DD charges.

The milk float costs £195 and the M240i comes with a £400 government theft charge for the first 5 years. :-[

So both cars cost you less than your rusty old Signum?  :)

I think the total comes to £795, so yes. :-X

That's why I couldn't justify keeping the mighty Signum. She is back with the same owner who sold the car to me in 2015. He is a JP, so a man of impeccable judgement. :P

I met quite a few JP's in my younger days, and none of them were very nice to me.  ;D  They always fined me for trivial things.  ;(   I mean, what is the harm in a 16 year old popping to the village chippy on his Moto X bike.   ::)

There's an element of truth to that, as big chunky soggy proper chip shop chips absorb less fat than skinny Mcfries type chips.  :y
