Code72
« on: Yesterday at 15:25:48 »

Hi, Airbag light won't go off, after scanning it, the code is 72, driver's side airbag sensor malfunction and it looks like the sensor could be the issue, can somebody tell me the location of the drivers side crash sensor please? or anything else I should check

I have checked the yellow wires for a bad connection.
Cheers

It's rivetted to a metal plate rivetted to the door. You need to remove the door card for access.

Visually check the wiring between the airbag in the seat and the floor and also between the sensor and the A pillar..

DO NOT APPLY VOLTAGE or you'll be looking for a new airbag set once you leave hospital.

As DG says, this in the sensor on the bottom of the door.  They tend to be reliable, but the wiring itself is prone to corrosion or coming into contact with the window when the clips break....
