I gave up golf in 2013 when I "lost" all my bats.

In fairness to golf, it was one of those things that got me out doing walking. Lots of walking, given my golfing abilities!

Oh, and an after work game was good for stress levels.  Imagining the face of the stupid bint I used to work for on the face of that ball as I whacked it....

I have a nasty habit of smacking my internal door handles into my stomach / belly button area in passing.
Done it a few times over the years. Normally just squeal like a girl for a few seconds then get on with it.
A few weeks ago, I did it again but this time I must of done some damage because a couple of days later, one side of my abdomen literally started to fill up with fluid under the skin like a water balloon.
That was the Friday and I had to drive to pick up my new (to me) car on the Saturday so Sunday morning i'm on the phone to 111.
To be fair, they wasn't too bad after answering a thousand questions, they booked me into a UTC (Urgent Treatment Centre) for the next day.
Got diagnosed as a abscess and was given a course of antibiotics which did sweet F all.
Back on the phone to my GP this time and was told that because i'm not in pain or have bowel symptoms, its a 1 to 3 weeks wait at least.
Politely explained that something is not right and needs sorting sharpish before I end up in casualty.  She cut me off  >:(
So 111 it is .........  This time I got sent to another UTC where I was actually seen by a actual doctor I think. Couldn't really understand much of what she said  :-X
Anyway we sort of agreed that I need a ultrasound to find out what's happening in there so she wrote a letter to my GP and off I went.
That was a Saturday night so Monday morning, I calls the GP's surgery to be told to sit by my phone.
Well I sat by my phone for nearly 3 days and then rang back to be told its still not urgent  >:(
Back to 111 I go and i'm sent to another UTC and told to sit down and they will try to fit me in for a ultrasound.
After 3 hours i'm sent home because i'm still marked down as non urgent and told to ring my GP.
Range them and told them to stick there service where the sun doesn't shine.
Just joined a husband and wife team near me who have got a great reputation.
Just waiting for the changeover then i'll burden myself on there doorstep and try and get some answers.
Sicknote ran out and i've got no doctor at the moment so went back to work yesterday on light duties.

NHS is a friggin joke

You'd have been better taking some sandwiches and a sleeping bag to A&E.

Was tempted tbh
WAs literally told that by a nurse (customer) yesterday.
Gonna meet my new doctor this week hopefully.
See if I get better service.

It only employs 2 million people and we only spend around £210 billion a year on it, so you shouldnt expect too much from it.  ::)
