I think I found those details my googling a CDC3 connector, then buzzing out with a multimeter.  The "CDC3" and a separate CDC3 have the same vertical board, but each with the unused connector missing - the standalone CDC3 has a connector on rear of board, and the integrated version like CCR2006 has the connector on top.  The boards have pads for either/both connectors to be fitted.

CDC3's were fitted in some Astra-G and Zafira-A (and probably others) if you can locate diagrams for those.

Sadly, it looks like I no longer have my findings from the pinouts, though I was only every looking for Audio L/R and Audio Gnd

thankyou il have a google .
reason being !   although my 4 disc changer works absolutely fine i was just curious as to the connections and comparing them with the iso din connector on the back which has the cd section populated but not functional .on other units you can plug in a remote 10 disc changer here (is this just used as a mono mute on these
ie .IF this could be made to be a cd socket then the existing cd slot area could be made into a usb/sd reader

Pretty certain that the Omega FL headhunts do not put the CD info out on the rear ISO - the top 20 pin section isn't that well defined on the standard, left open for manufacturer specific stuff.

Also, the radio would only talk and understand specific Phillips protocols.

Lastly, the headhunt doesn't have enough audio inputs to allow some kind of SD/MP3/Whatever AND CD - you need to make some kind of mixer circuit, and fool the headhunt into thinking the CD is playing.

Or you tap into the CDC audio feed.

It's well documented mod that I used to good effect on my 3.2 Elite estate.

thats correct and the easy bit .i could tap into the cd input to the main switching ic (or even the tape input post eq and use some switching method )
i still use cd's and also cassettes as well but thought of using an external changer so i could do something in the existing cd slot/flap area.
other option would be to leave with existing 4disc changer and just add an internal bluetooth module and/or a usb decoder and piggyback the track skip buttons as req with the usb socket in the blank lower dash insert .
like i say mines all working ok just an idea for a future project !
after all the schenanigans with my other car stereos my head was in project mode !!!!

I left my ncdc2015 in place and fully functional and simply tapped into the CDC audio.

Then, I replaced the glovebox with a NAV one and used the single din slot to mount a Sony  Bluetooth head unit capable of running the Sony disc changers. Using the Sony switch, XA30/40 iirc, I fitted 3 ten disc changers in the boot.
The head unit had a remote with it and I also fitted the steering column remote as well.

Net result, functioning Bose, NAV, radio and computer, DAB, Bluetooth, RCA and phono aux in, and 30.CDs, all in a much more reliable arrangement than those daft expanding cartridges that always jammed up.

The other thing, is that now everyone has gone digital, the components are relatively cheap :y
