I noticed a 12p difference between petrol and derv yesterday.

I filled up last Monday in Tesco at £139.9. This morning I drove past and it was £147.7, but all the indy filling stations I drove by were £149.9.  ::)

I'll be filling up little and often, and will be keeping at least a half tank full for the foreseeable future.  :-\

Brent crude just opened at $101.25
After climbing to circa $118, it's back down to $99.18

Because that drop is due to intervention?

People are still consuming but there is a drop in production. A week or two more war no problem, prolonged then what? Start buying from Russia as though Ukraine never happened?

Trump is going to China in a few weeks. No doubt to sell US oil to China to replace the Iranian oil ….

It's a combination of greed and media driven self fulfilment.

Filled up TPC in Crawley at £1.32 today. Filled the car a couple of days before it all kicked off at £1.24.

Previously tanks were, most recent first... £1.25, £1.27, £1.31 and £1.34.

I try to limit my commute to 4 or 5 times a month. But have also been using the ML. Think my last fill of that, perhaps a day after it kicked off was £1.42 for diseasal. Have paid over £1.45 previously.

The economy of the diesel isn't enough to offset the cost of ULEZ so there's little benefit from running it unless conditions are bad.

Back on topic, it's interesting to see how my industry has adapted. We're currently running a bus service to/from Thailand and Oman as alternatives to our regular Middle East routes just to keep people moving.

Saw diesel at £1.65 on my way to work which is taking the piss. That said it's still well below £2.01 which it got to in 2022...

One (Asian) independent garage close to me is 179.9p for diesel, plenty of folk using it when I pass.
