Understandably, there doesnt seem to be an opposition waiting to take over running the show, so unless someone puts boots on the ground and an interim administration in place you either get chaos, or the regime rebuilds itself quickly and carries on.
The latter seems to be what is currently happening.

The new leader could well be the most dangerous yet, as he has lost his family in the last week or so, so nothing to lose and a lot of scores to settle.

Sky News . Lead story. Scott Bessent. First of course the coalition has to have knocked out all Irans missile capability. That is what is happening now apparently. I wonder if Iran has underwater drones? Maybe a cross between a torpedo and a sub.

It's been a little while since I hired a car in Texas, but it's not the cheapest State for fuel, not California prices, (they're not too far behind the UK ), $3.20 or so rings a bell.
