Filled up today . Three weeks ago 126, today 1.89. 50% increase I believe. Spanish pm has announced various measures to mitigate Trumps destruction of the global energy market. Eg VAT on fuel reduced from 21 to 10%.

Now Trump has the gall to suggest he will walk away from the Middle East  and leave the suckers that buy their energy from there to police the Straits of Hormuz.

This shitshow will carry on for months if not years. I'm not saying that Trump did the wrong thing by striking Iran, but his timing was crap, his forward planning was crap and, as usual, he comes across as a stupid kid playing with his toys.
Basically, he has no understanding of how the world actually works.

I realised this way back, when he suggested injecting people with disinfectant.

I have a full tank of petrol in the C1. I must remember to drain it down to fumes before chucking a bucket of water over it and putting it up for sale.
Meanwhile, I feel slightly smug at having bought a milk float a couple of weeks ago.  :D

I think, in his naive way, that he thought economically the US might not be impacted much, beyond the cost of war, as the US isn't reliant on middle east resources.

However, the fact Iran was (as proven in the last 24hrs) building long range weapons, and seemingly only a few years away (as yet unproven, beyond the monitors found Uranium enriched way beyond civilian levels) from having a nuclear weapon capability, I think it was a necessary action, and the weak, feeble, scared UK should bloody well pull it's finger out.

He might have been early but he wasn't wrong.

Be interesting to see if targeting Diego Garcia makes the wet rag scrap the Chagos arrangements.

Doubt it, he'll probably be even more determined to offload it and spend billions of our money renting it back!  ::) >:(

I can indeed.  :y
Have three pin plug " granny charger" for the ocassional charge at home, but will only use that when I really have to.
Im still a bit unsure about the leaf. It still seems weird to drive compared to anything Ive driven before.
It will never be as enjoyable as the little C1, as I drive that flat out in hooligan mode most of the time, which is enjoyable without risking getting into too much trouble.
The Leaf feels more like a car for a responsible grown up. The question for me is, am I ready to do that. Im only 66.  ;D

I agree its a job that needs doing, but it seems to be being done the wrong way and probably at the wrong time.
The West has been sitting on its hands over the problem for far too long though.
