BMW ZF GS6-53DZ
« on: Yesterday at 22:55:57 »

Hi all, I have been searching with no results...any idea if a 6 speed conversion with a box fron a 525/530d bimmer has been done to an x25dt Omega?
Early M57 are suposed to have same bellhousing bolt pattern as M51 (aka x25dt) and should be a bolt on (quite more less)

Biggest question will be whether it fits in the tunnel :-\

I had the same idea with my last 2.5 DTI, and everyone that I asked told me that it's not easily doable. There are some differences in bolt positions on bell housing as I remember. It's possible to adapt it but it's would not be cheap.
I now a guy that swapped 3.0 M57 from E38 730d in Omega, but with auto box, they do fit without problems.

Mechanical fitting aside, you would need somebody to map any TCM you can find that works on the ZF6 (the standard Omega one won't, as its for the 5 speed variant)

Apparently the box in the title is a 6 speed spaniel. ;)
