Airbag light on after seat change
« on: 16 March 2026, 21:17:25 »

I put in a pair of Sport front seats in  my 2002 Omega for more comfort.

When starting up after the change the Airbag light is on.

I saw when I did a Google search that the Airbags can be connected with the VIN and they need to match. Is that true for Omega's.

I didn't disconnect the battery when I did the change and I now realize that I should.

Will it reset itself if I disconnect the battery for 30 minutes?

Well disconnecting the battery didn't help. Light is still on.

I think I need a Tech-2

I would imagine that they're cheap enough and easy enough to get hold of to justify the purchase cost now :-\

I got airbag light on with my V6, there was a malfucntion code in the error memory, but managed to clear it away with OP COM. Software can be found free and the cable cost about 20 euros.
