I had a white 2 litre laser (known as the shed), took out the spare wheel and poured 2 yards of concrete in the boot, very hard to get sideways then. Until the tyre well rotted and dropped off leaving the concrete exposed!

EDIT: Always called them CRAPI for some odd reason :P

I have a dislike of Fords (even worse than my dislike of Vauxhall/Opel!) based on the fact I invariably crash them ::)

The Avenger was (imo) an under rated alternative to the escort.had 2 of them, they ciuld be made to go/handle quite well with a bit of work.
3 litre Capri imo was a very over rated car.not that quick and handled like a barge.

I must admit I liked the Granada's, remember my Dad's mate having one, it seemed so comfy and spacious. But didn't like the Scorpio one really :-[

 ;D

Reality is that there were some limitations in those years in my country..

These were very rare and was nearly a 5 home  price compared to today.
