Invite them in then ignore them completely. Make yourself/partner food & drink, sit down, eat it in front of them but offer them nothing. Turn the telly off if they're watching it, then go online or wash the windows, dishes, car,do the hoovering, anything, but ignore them.
    They'll give up quickly. ::)

i can't believe how mean spirited some of you are to your neighbours!! where we stay - it's pretty quiet and everyone pretty much keeps themselves to themselves - but we all know each other and know we're they're to help out whenever theres a problem

we take each other's bins out and bring them in (whoever happens to be first), move each others cars, clear the gutters, fix the slates (well if you're up there - may as well do either side) have BBQ's and parties - i think its called a community?

i'd hate to live somewhere you needed cctv and hid from the neighbours :o

can't remember the last time i locked the hut, my wife NEVER locks her car - EVER - even tho you only need to PRESS ONE LITTLE BUTTON (in case she reads this :y)

maybe you all should move to the sticks?  :y :y
