No cruise option.  :-\
We spent around twenty five year’s holidaying in our various touring caravans before jacking it in around 2011 and renting holiday cottages/houses and going on cruises. We rent various holiday homes a few times a year and go on the occasional two/three week cruise. We also rent a large house so that our son and daughter’s families get a holiday on us. If I’m honest, I really couldn’t care less if I never went abroad ever again, as I’ve never wanted to go in the first place, but I go to keep her happy. I’m not really that bothered about holidays in general so I’m more than happy in the UK, and apart from the cruises we always go self catering.
I’m just generally a boring person.  ::) ;D

Mrs YZ can’t get the weight of her holiday luggage low enough to be permitted to fly,  ;D  whereas a cruise has no weight limit, other than a sensible weight for each of her three cases.  :y
I tag along to keep her happy. I have zero interest in any country’s landmarks, other than from an engineering perspective of how the hell did they create that with limited tools all of those years ago.

………..
Mobility is now my issue so caravan I cant deal with.
…………

There are companies that adapt caravans/motor homes to make them accessible for disabled people. There’s a disabled couple up the road from us that have a camper fitted out with a hoist, electric fold out ramp etc. Both of them are in electric mobility chairs so it is possible. She does the driving as well.
Willerby also make some wide gangway static caravans for that very reason.  :y

No cruise option.  :-\
Its just a floating hotel.  With guaranteed food poisoning or viral infections to boot.

Cruising is definitely my idea of hell (river cruises excepted, to a point)

........

I can't argue with that.  :y  We've been lucky, but a couple of cruises have been delayed due to deep cleaning after a bout of Norovirus. It's bound to happen with 4 million people using the same facilities.
I prefer being closer to home anyway.  :y

This thread is like Gods waiting room with it's tales of infirmity and lack of mobility. >:D

The grim reaper is just around the corner for most on here. ;D
