Rear discs/pads - Genuine or pattern
« on: 25 September 2008, 22:22:50 »

Have just got genuine front discs and pads for me Mig but was wondering........................is it essential to fit genuine rear discs and pads for the same reason, i.e warping :-/

After the hassles I had with warped fronts, and then the hassles with getting rears through MOT, I tend to stick to genuine.  I wouldn't be against pattern on rear, but seeing as they are likely to get changed, at most once, during life of car, I'd tend to stick genuine ones on.

Im with TB on this one, Genuine all the way.........

In the past i have managed to warp a set of brand new discs in less than 6000 miles.....and they were Ferodo, and i don't drive them hard, it was a couple of motorway incidents at 60-70mph that caused it.......and the backs suffered as well
