The young lad who did the oil change mentioned that I may have trouble removing the sump plug in future as it was worn and he therefore had problems fittng his spanner on it............is this a common problem. :-* :-* :-*

What he obviously meant was, that due to using the wrong size Torx or a similar sized Allen key, he's mullered the middle of the sump plug while tightening up to some silly ft/lb torque! >:(

Perhaps I should have asked Mr Dusty to take the car in.
Perhaps it's £28 to a woman but much less to a man. :'( :-*

They try it on with everyone Dusty!

Many many years ago I took a Pug 306 in to get new tyres, the lad taking the tyres off called me over to inform me that I needed new front discs as they were very hot and had developed a lip round the outside (1mm at the most). Told me it was dangerous for them to get that hot and they should wear evenly across the whole surface. Luckily enough they could do it that afternoon for me too.

Brakes getting hot, what a ridiculous idea!!

Yes Dusty that can certainly be the case, especially in my experience with those damn people Kwik Fitup, and you have to hold your ground making it clear you are taking no nonense.

First, just stay well clear of them as they are guaranteed to damage your car eventually, as I suspect they have done already with that sump bolt..........£28 indeed.........to put right what they have done wrong rather robbing, ineffecience, useless people!!

That's how they make their profits; do a simple job like an oil change then make sure you need an expensive repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argggggggggggggggggggggggggg >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Stop it Lizzie, I am ranting again about these people who have done so much damaged to our cars in the past!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

No good for my health. ;)

They must have seen me coming Lizzie.....Trouble is, if I ask Mr Dusty to do it for me, he says that women can't do anything without the aid of men.

He may well post something about this in future knowing him. :-* :-*
