No it wasn't sold as an original ... i was looking for the original type of bootlip spoiler but liked the look of this one ...it does fit beautifully though ....just wish i was brave enough to drill the holes for the bolts myself and spray it myself  ::)

if you ever pop by Crewe I know a fantastic guy who works out of his garage and will do it for 20 quid max.  Did dads Jag bonnet (the same surface area of many small cars) and my dad had to force him to take 80 quid for a truely pro job that took 3 attempts to get right... you cant buy that kind of commitment  :y

No ,No, No.....too expensive . Get a second and third quote .
I'd say £80ish to paint and £25 to fit ,after all its only three holes.
If you make a reverse template of the curve of the mounts of the spoiler on cardboard from a cereal packet  and place them on the bootlid where they match the curveture it'll give you the datum. Then measure the pitch of the holes ,find the centre line of the boot and then mark out from there you can't go wrong.
Oh , and ask to pay cash ......No vat thanks .

To be honest mate with something like that I would grab the right colour cans from VX (cheap as chips) and do it yourself. I got 2 tins of bsae coat and laquer for I believe under a tenner, and there are loads of tin spray guides around. In fact I'm looking at a detailed one right now in September Practical Classics using tins. They just repaired a Modern Merc with wet an dry and some spray tins and the results are pretty good. Go grab a copy for 3.99 and save yourself a packet!

Before my partner got her Elite Estate she smashed rear valance on her Mondeo Estate.  I got a good one off a scrapper and sprayed it first in primer and then in colour (white) using cans (1 x primer, 2 x colour).

Once tailgate and back wings compounded, T-cut and polished to match you wouldn't know the difference.

Cans cheap & ideal for doing smaller parts.
