Yes, he definitely did do it.., I had a little friendly chat with Mark when he phoned, never realising what he intended doing to Jue.., but we had a good laugh about it afterwards!

Hope u don't want the tractor mark, the price to u is reaching skywards lol!

So fess up.., who made the call to us asking for 'Omega Car Hire' a week or so ago?
3 words you won't hear publically in same sentence, though we know he secretly wants one...

Not entirely true, I would like a tractor....

.....an early Fordson Super Major Diesel in fact........ :y

Lol, I have to come clean.

I called Jue yesterday regarding his tractor and pretended to be somebody else......the tone in his voice was bloody funny though!

Sorry Jue....
You wicked man!  You will never catch me doing such childish tricks ::)

You will burn in the pits of hell, Mr DTM

;D

Imagine, being called by Sergent Green of West Midlands Police regarding a complaint about a large number of Vauxhall Omegas.........

Lol.....a Thwaites dumper truck.....or a Field Marshal tractor....which included early versions  with 8inch bore, 10 inch stroke upto mega 6 litre single cylinder 2 stroke units some of which were started using a smoulder bit of paper or a shot gun cartridge!!

I like dumper trucks - I used to drive one on a Community Programme scheme, rear steer, 4WD, Lister 13bhp twin, first noisy 3rd it jumped out of, used to have a passenger to hold the gear lever in.

Took it for a drive once, went all the way to Broadway.

Have done a Toddington Winchcombe round trip on a centre steer one as well.

There you go:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/thwaites-1ton-dumper_W0QQitemZ110294798101QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110294798101&_trkparms=72%3A1298%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

And Jimbob could collect it for you!
Just showed Mrs TheBoy.

I won't repeat her exact wording, but on the upside, she did point out that the passenger has a heated seat.... ::)

I rather fancy this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fordson-Major-Tractor_W0QQitemZ280272746480QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280272746480&_trkparms=72%3A1298%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Missing the compulsory blue fertilizer bag seat cover.

Or a sackbag. I allways remember my dad sitting on one of those, because they had metal seats & bloody cold in winter  :o :o

I have a vague recollection of hotwiring one of those in my youth. ::)

I must be mistaken, of course. :-X

However it came about -- I am pretty glad it happened !! :y

Agreed HC. If you want a really poor forum try the X-Type forum. It is so dreary that there only seems to be one admin chap answering all the posts.
;D ;D ;D

Have they found the internet or are they still using typewriters over at the Jaguar forums?  ;D

....and lol @ the dumper! That seat looks like a health hazard!  :D
