No Mike there were two shows:  Beggar My Neighbour then Love Thy Neighbour.  I mixed the two titles up in my mind and thought for a very short time there was only one! ;D ;D ;D ;)

Anyone remember an American one called Soap.

Seem to remember Billy Crystal was in it as a gay son.

Not bad for American humour .  M.A.S.H. was pretty good too.

I just love

Porridge
Open all hours
Black Adder (particularly 4)
Fawlty towers.

They just don't make em like that any more....I mean, where do you hear the following now:

Gen. Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett:

You know, over these last few years I have come to think of you as a sort of son. Not a favourite son of course, lord no, more an illegitimate back stairs sort of sprog. the sort of spotty squid nobody likes but, none the less, still fruit of my over active loins and I want to do whats best for you darling so I have given it a great deal of thought and I want you to have this.........

At which point he gets sent to the front line!

Comic genius and a very clever and poignant ending to episode 'Goodbyeee'
