Big public thanks to Marks DTM Calib!
« on: 14 December 2006, 11:53:41 »

For getting my key back together!  :y

I finally broke my key after it was getting worse and worse, posted it to Mark, and he had it fixed and retuned to me faster than Machine Mart could send me a battery charger  :y

I also finally got my megga runnning again YaYY!!!  :D

Charged the battery overnight, plugged it back in the siren started going off again!!  :-[ So tryed to start it, and the "Auto" came on the climate dash, but no lights on the main dash  :( It would turn over but not fire.

Hummm i thought, got out. Locked, unlocked... no change. Locked, deadlocked, unlocked, still no change.

Now this is where i want to thank TheBoy, for suggesting i keep handy tools in the car. Went to the boot and got out my long nosed plyers, pulled the fuses and i had blown fuse 15  :-[

Replaced it with a spare, which i also keep several of now IN the car since i blew one when working on my ice.

Went to start it, got dash lights!! YAY, but the service spanner light was blinking, turning over but not firing. Lock, unlock... start and 4 cranks later broooooom into life!  :D

Took it for a nice blast down the M4, not driven in over a month... was good to be back in the megga  :D

And now i have a shinny new working key thanks to Marks DTM Calib  :y

Ohh and i like the extra title on the package Mark sent... Mr Mark Tunnicliffe (Stu-dent)  ;D ;D

I think if i had the same problem a year ago, i would't have been able to fix it. I would have called the RAC or get it towed to a garage.

Just need to keep a few more tools in the car i think  :)
