The first and second roundabout after getting off ferry is where the Police are usually.

Then when coming back over the border to France they hang about there but, as long a you keep to the speed limits and if you get stopped be polite you will have no problems.

I have been stopped dozens of times and never had a problem at all.

Getting excited now, will treat the car to some BP Ultimate on the way down, i will need every extra bit of horse power the 4 pot can give, its going to be a tad heavy

I'd still pop one on - I recall when I started going to South of France there was still an issue, regardless of you having a euro style numberplate. Might have changed now though.

Driving to Holland on Friday, back on Monday, will be just under 1k miles in total i suspect, given the car the once over, checked all the fluids, had an oil change about 1k ago, it will get one as soon as i get back.

Can you go snowboarding in Holland? I thought it was as flat as East Anglia.
I have never been snowboarding so excuse my ignorance if I'm being a numpty.

It's a lot flatter than East Anglia over 95% of the country, but there are a few bumpy bits in the South East corner.

Don't think you need to go anywhere near Amsterdam, but I suppose there are some people who might visit the place for pleasure.

No mountains, some hills, and I don't think they are likely to be snowy unless the rest of Europe is covered.  And they're in the South East near the German and Belgian borders.  The South West is Zeeland, and the highest things there are the sand dunes.  And, of course, those Zeelanders returning from a pleasure trip to Amsterdam

I remember I was on my way back from Paris once with my mate Markie. We'd been on the road for a few hours, heading for calais along the E26 or A26 I think it was to catch a ferry home.

2 door J reg 950cc Vauxhall Nova, 2 lads. Back seat down, and so much booze on board the arches were scrubbing the tyres over bumps and no rear vision.

The toll road was very quiet, and I went blatting past what was an old looking transit van at about 90mph, foot to the floorpan. It was only afterwards we realised it was "La Policier..."

Just be careful coming out of Dunkirque, having done it countless times it is very easy to get lost.  Even with the most up to date maps on my tomtom it kept getting me lost in the maze outside the port, and the signs are awful...

No it doesnt work.....its fubared.
Go and unplug your cam sensor and try to start your 2.2 then......think you might find it will crank for about 5 secs then still start  

BTW the same goes for the crank sensor  

Dunno what happens if both sensors are unplugged at the same tho  :-/

There you go a little experiment for......unplug em both and post back if it will start or not  

This behaviour does not apply to the V6's
