throttle body with end cap removed, green bit on the right is glued together or was, with 3 contacts.

a closer look

press fit cap removed

this bit fits on the throttle shaft and turns, running on  the tracks you can see in the end cap just inside the brown ring/numbers on.
The brass coloured filaments are very fine and have scratched the track and due to the angle they sit at run freely in the opening direction, but scrape and jam on return, this causes nowhere near enough resistance to jam the throttle, but still dont look right to me???

i did not open the servo side as it was obvious i cant repair...

That track with the contacts running on it will be the potentiometer that provides the position feedback to the ECU. Looks well scored. :'(

I guess BBA would replace just the pot?

guess so, how they glue the resin bit in i dont know looks like 250 is a bit more reasonable now. They did say the parts are very expensive. I thinks i might prefer a cable, much simpler and cheaper. Whats in the omega dbw throttle body? Nothing that gay i bet?
