Thanks (I think) ;D

Unfortunately no key numbers on the box. Although there is a card with a "security number" on it, in the boot - wonder if that's it...... (Not a carpass)...

All the wheel stud kits I see on fleabay for vauxhall have the same pattern as mine - are they likely to be different?

I've a spare key here - well set actually - only very slightly bent, but no idea of it's number.  So what's that; one chance in n ?

Anyway you're more than welcome to try it, but (if there's no time pressure) could you post a photo of your nuts (Mmm, that doesn't read good does it) so I can compare (gisa look) and see if the odds will improve.

- Older type with three prongs on the key (mine has two about the same depth, one quiet different).

One way to do it is to hammer a tight fitting multi splined socket (preferbly an old one) over the locking wheel bolt and use a ratchet to undo, usualy works for me... dont forget you will need new locking wheel bolts to replace ones taken off.   Good luck. :y

That does not work if you have the 'flower' shaped newer locking nut because the spinning metal ring is far too thick.

This is an option:-

Proper locking wheen nut remover

BUT its about £150

James

There should be a piece of card about 3" square with a sticker on it with 4 numbers (IIRC) this is the locking nut key number, this is what you need to get replacements, BUT if you don't have the V5 when you go to the dealer they WILL NOT sell you a replacement.

Yes. Thats the idea of a key, to have lots of possibilities.

You need key number, else they need to be removed via other methods.
