Just been thinking, with recent threads about expiring licences and all ....... when the big 7-0 comes around and the licence is no longer valid, what happens then

Does it get renewed on a shorter term basis, as long as you behave and are healthy. Or do you need to re-test?

My dad is 85 and still driving (on his own -- no-one will get in the car with him !!!! ) -- he has never, to my knowledge, re-tested (wouldn't pass either!)

I believe you just have to apply for an extention on your licence but sure Broocie will be able to put us right

I've just been looking at the same thing. Apparently, at 70, you just renew online.

The site also says everyone will get a reminder two months before your photo expires.
