I think I may have found my new car

for that sort of money i see too many things wrong with it......and it's ex police  :(

here's a question for those who have served within the police service....would you buy an ex police car......i seem to remember more than one said NO.....

for that sort of money you could do a lot better mate

You do  :-? Had a Wreg ex-police T-5 before drove it up to 188k and it was only 4 years old when I sold it  :o anyway nothing and I mean nothing went on that in over a year I did nothing to it apart from 3 oil changes and 4 air filters (and they sound so nice) :) Loads of ex-plod cars before (including current mig which was same price as the volvo) and nothing wrong with them, just lucky I suppose  ;D Well need to ask him a few Q's first anway, bit far for me to travel so i'll ty and get him down a bit. Wish me luck  :)

I used to work alongside the police in Hampshire when I was doing recovery work and I know what happens to the cars when the mechanics get their hands on them... I definitely wouldn't buy one ::) ::) ::)

TBH I'm with Jay on this one... It looks like it's had a hard life and there's just too many things "not right" with it for my money :-/ :-/

ex plod cars are rubbish my v6 vectra was ex northampton constabulary and it died at 110k it had been ragged to death where my main office is at work we share the building with the police and they show these cars no mercy from cold they will be revving the b****x off it

saying that volvos do live for a very long time

A certain 'Jock in a Frock' said he wouldn't touch an ex Plod with a barge pole. Local dealer says the Plod go through Vectra dual mass flywheels for fun, which gives a indication of how they drive 'em.

My Dad had an ex Police Ford Caprt 3000GT, great car, mind that was a while ago. ::) ::) ::)
I was 17 and he only let me drive it once or twice, might have had something to do with the fact that someone saw me racing following my mate who had a Capri 3000E :-X
