I was surprised at some of the names in there, and surprised at some not in there  :-/

my estimation is that for the posts I must be in the first 10

Not going to do a posts only list at moment, due to the loading it will put on server.  The script is not efficient (nor is the forum software), so hard pins the server to 100% for several minutes.

Its having enough trouble just serving out pages lately

That will only help for a few mins, then back to same again.

Well I know this has been mentioned before but am going to mention it again.

Put a donate button on the forum as I am more than happy to chip in towards building a new server.

Flipping eck, 4000 members, I know there are a few regulars that even a £1 x 250 donations would make a difference towards some faster/better hard ware.  Lets face it, we all benifit.

What is the cost/make/model of a disk controller you would run the server on. :question
