It looks like a mixer kit, which aren't well suited to a V6, to be perfectly honest.

It's also not easy to see from that picture what else you'll need, but I'd certainly use new fuel lines and clips throughout rather than fiting 2nd hand copper pipe that will have hardened.

If I were in your position I would use the tank, which looks like a decent 4 hole one, and replace the front end with a SGI one.

I have a horrible feeling it's going to be a problem ...  :(

I see "throttle bodies"  .. but no "injectors" .. so I'm guessing a single point system... I don't see ECU .. so I wonder how the petrol injectors are switched off.

Hoping I'm wrong for your sake .. :(

so i really need the one with an injector on each inlet and those little metal things either side of the intake plenum with three pipes to each one?

Right... You want to be looking for injector emulators if you're really planning to fit this but I would be inclined to take the tank (if it's in good nick) and re-list the rest... Mixer type systems are not good on these cars and will never really run right or give the returns you'd want!

TBH I would scrap the whole idea and get a brand new kit from the supplier I have the details for... A full sequential kit, everything you need to fit it and proven to work on the Omega, with a brand new tank for under £700...

Your choice obviously but if you do go with the mixer kit be warned that when, and it is when, it backfires you will have an expensive repair bill :o :o

Nice description ... :)

yup .. a sequential gas injection system SGI ... far far better in all respects, safer, better fuel consumption, better power.

There are several members who have DIY'd ... They can advise you better than I ..... I paid to have mine done !!!  :)

i guess i have answered this one, i found this on the net
that any LPG system relying on a single point mixer will fill the inlet manifold with mixed gas and air which is potentially explosive. If anything causes the mixture to be ignited in the manifold (e.g. misfiring due to poor ignition, leaking engine valves etc.) 'Backfiring' can be the result. This risk is very low with carburreted engines, as there is little to be damaged, but much higher with fuel injected engines. It is therefore crucial that any vehicle to be converted must have ignition components right up to par, no air leaks into the inlet manifold, gas tight engine valves and other service items such as air filters in absolutely first class condition.

i would be inclined to get hold of the kit,get some really good pictures if the whole lot and post it up here so we can confirm, but looking at what i can see i would have said it was a mixer system.

I looked at these when i first looked at LPG systems, they do work, but as you have pointed out the backfiring issue does raise its head and there have been members who have encountered this as well.

If you could sell the kit on and get your money back, possibly make a few bucks on it then you may find that buying a new kit will be a lot easier to deal with, remember with a new kit you can put the items where you want to and lay the system out in the manner that suits your car, plus you know that all the itmes in the new kit is within the rules and regs of the code pr practice, the older items may very well be out of date now
