Heated screen

Anyone now if a heated screen is ava, for Omegas
wifey in her little Fiesta Ghia just melted her frosty screen in less time then it just took to type it, while me with my executve car heated/electric this that and the other was scraping away like a good 'un. might have to invest in some de icer or pull her heated screen fuse out!!!!!!!!!!! :-[

My old 1994 Range Rover had a heated front screen 8-)

I think there was a 'Winter Pack' option - but that may have just been a fold away screen cover

Phew i'm glad you said cover what with range rovers and fold away screens i thought i'd been transported to a landy web site ;D
Can't believe german technology over looked a heated w/screen.
I've heard you can get a kit for a VW beetle but is this just to stop misting rather than ice melting.
Still gives me a chance to speak to those elusive nieghbours while we are all scraping

Yeah special thing wee fords they have heated windscreens, thats why you pay the extra money, cheaper with the 99p scraper or the de-icer at 1.50 :y

Just go to your local Comet or Currys and nick the scrapers out of the freezers ;)

I would but we haven't all got spider senses for the spotty freezer fillers.

Quicker just boilin the kettle an pourin it over, thats what ma mum used tae dae; morris minor, triumph herald, luckily enough the harry ferguson did'nt have a windscreen ;D ;D

My old company car had it... it was an F-reg Granada Scorpio 2.9 V6. Very nice car indeed...

As much as the heated screens help, I could not tolerate driving one
I can't see past the wires, even when they are turned off.
Must be sensitive to that kind of thing
I cant use Trinitron type monitors either, I see the wires holding the screen on.

I think there bloody awful and in reality pretty pointless.

1) they act as a grating and are terrible when the sun is low

2) They might clear the screen but, what about the side windows....there are already to many tosser drivers with side windows that you cant see through.....
