My mobile phone is only ever switched on when I want to make a call, I never carry my wallet, and try to use the m/bike as much as possible. And only use cash for buying stuff.
I believe this makes me as reasonably invisible as is possible these days.
You cannot avoid CCTV unless you wear head gear, and while walking this will probably attract more attention.
I generally wear safe neutral clothes with no logos or statements on them as well.
The only way I can be tracked is by my PC. (I hope)

In which case, buy a wireless laptop and sit outside the house of an unsecured source and hide your IP address.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Personally, I'd rather be in Africa. :y :y :y :y :y

Become a Middlesborough FC supporter, their home games appear to be attended by a lot of invisible people.

I thought that was the whole point of the craze for hoodies and baseball caps - and the whole point of establishment talk about banning them?

It would be a tough deal to exist in any decent way without a bank account these days. Cash in hand jobs tend to pay subsistence wages.

I agree with an earlier poster - move out of the UK.

Strange isn't it that someone can kidnap and imprison someone for years and no one would know BUT

you try and move anywhere and you are tracked. British authorities can now see (if they ask) details of your bank withdrawals abroad.

Vodaphone is going to apparently disconnect PAYG mobiles in Spain by a certain date next year unless you have registered the phone. Here everything is tied to one thing- your ID card which has a unique number.

One small example of how you are watched is when you become resident in Spain your bank account has to change to become a residents bank account and the police ring you up to remind you of this fact.

Having said all that if someone wants to disappear then travel by train over here with a suitcase full of cash (and hope customs don't look into it) then you can live here totally incognito and help me fix the many and varied faults on my Omega. I'll say to neighbours you are my brother or sister. If there are loads of applicants those skilled in gearboxes get first go.  ;D ;D
