I always fancied buying a 1959-61 Ford Prefect, Ford Anglia or similiar van and fitting a really large engine into it; you know a V8 or V12 which would amaze everyone as outwardly this old van unexpectedly "took off" from the traffic lights! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

But in the real world all I wanted, and still do, is a pink Cadillac!  8-) 8-)

I think that Ford did something similar in the seventies with a Transit Lizzie......It was called Supervan ....not sure what lump was in it ...but it was quick and it was used in a lot of the Ford promotional blurb.
Anyone remember this.

Similar Lizzie......they used to actually race Supervan..big fat tyres ..I have a feeling it had a big V8 in it about 350BHP...but I'am not sure.   :y

the Ford supervan - iirc had a cosworth F1 engine and running gear etc; was very fast - 180mph. 8-)

You are dead right Albitz.....but I was thinking of the original Transit Supervan from the late sixties and early seventies.

I must be too young to remember the mk1 version.
