Win7 brought forward as people are anti Vista (for no other reason that they heard someone down the pub stay it was rubbish, because he had been told by someone down the pub).

Win7 will still be the Vista kernel, so differences will be tweaks (like w2k to xp) rather than radical.  Touch will be a big feature, but not many of us have touchscreens yet

Yeah the touch feature does look quite cool. I thought Vista was a lot better than XP to start off with there were a few bugs, as with anything new, me included I moaned about something being buggy cant remember what though, but all is well now. I think it's prob the best OS i've used so far. Lets hope Windows 7 goes as well as I think Vista has.

in my opinion vista is good but gay at the same time, having multiple tabs using internet explorer it regularly crashes instead of xp which ploded on and maybe running slow at times.
vista just seems to stop responding for no reason.

also i dont think vista is very logical for trying to find folders and such.
users that are used to old style windows like 98 and xp will find it difficult to find folders and such, it gets too technical and when you set the computer to have multiple users then your a bit buggered with three admin users because of the default file to save stuff too

XP still looks like Win95. (But runs on NT instead of DOS).

Nothing much changes fast at Microsoft. But that's a good thing for Sys Admins.

Why?

I'm not asking you to sell it to me. FFS, the best of MS can't do that  ;D ;D

Why is it so good that you won't go back  :question

Hmmm, sounds like your IE has caught a cold.  Undoubtedly Vista is far more stable than XP ever was

More features, looks nicer, safer, easier to use, easily as stable if not more stable in my opinion than XP is even with SP3, just a bettr all rounder I think to be honest.

Given a choice, I wouldn't go back to XP because it is just so much more effort to use.
