Item no. 370105522968   , sorry must learn how to do links.

Do you reckon the bhp figures are accurate?

Yeah looks a decent car!
Just on an aside though, with e-bay be wary about paying for stuff in cash as we found out with our car, there is little or no protection. >:(

pretty sure that a remap is well capable of getting those bhp figures on a 3.0, he says he has printouts too

Why couldn't this car be ex-governmental, as a ministerial, civil service or any of the other agencies car? :-? :-?

Do police cars have rear blinds fitted? :-? :-?  If you look closely I am sure there is a switch for one in the place you would expect it, under the hazard light switch. :-/ :-/

I think that's the button for the boot release is it Liz?? Has got wood trim and heated seats though and someone has gone to the trouble of fitting a better stereo, and steering wheel is the new type. Nice but worth nowhere near £1300!! You could get a nice privately owned unabused example for less than that!

Do you reckon the bhp figures are accurate?

Not likely. It requires care to get an accurate figure out of a rolling road in any case and there is plenty of scope for massaging the figures to "compensate for the losses".

Many rolling road operators just tell the punter what he wants to hear so he goes away happy, especially if they have done the tuning work, as appears to be the case here.

I reckon you're dead right there! Me and my sons race a grasstrack Mini and they are supposed to be more or less standard 998cc engines which are about 40bhp.
Some people reckon they've been rolling roaded at anything up to 70bhp, but as far as I can see , they all seem similar in performance , so someone's telling porkies.(The faster one's are just better drivers but no-one wants to admit to being beaten by someone more talented)

Anyone know of a way to measure acceleration figures accurately, seems to me if you can do that you can figure out whether you've increased the performance of your car or not .(Assuming you haven't got an F1 type budget !! )

I have its' predecessor which I spotted very cheap on ebay. Even then, it needs careful setting up for the car to estimate BHP, but for comparative measurements to settle willy-waving pub talk, it's probably the best you can do without a properly calibrated and operated rolling road.
