LPG emmisions
« on: 06 November 2008, 21:12:57 »

I just had my MOT the other day, which it passed with flying colours.
My question is the gas emmisions, on gas it was 0 co2 and 360 hc.
On petrol it was 0 co2 and 68 hc.
Why are the hydrocarbons higher on gas and also why is the gas test done on the pre cat limits, ie upto 4 on co2, so the cats are no loger checked on the MOT.

IIRC it should only have one emissions test done, on the fuel it is presented to be tested on. The garage has no right to switch fuels or demand both fuels are tested ...

found it on MOT-Tester site ..

With respect to dual fuel vehicles the MOT Tester will Test the vehicle according to which fuel is being used when it is presented for Test. - MOTT
