Jim is a smashing bloke and got me a rare charcoal leather headrest once. He brought it to me too on his way back up to Scotland from London.

BTW: I'll have another big thank you to Jim (and you by the way) if you were to both resize your avatars so that I could see the left hand side of your posts...

Avatars and Signatures
Not everyone has a 20 meg broadband connection to the forum and some use mobiles/PDA's.  Please keep avatars to below 75k to avoid annoyance to low bandwidth users. Also, keep the maximum size to 110 x 110 pixels.

For the same reasoning as per avatars, please keep signatures to less than 3 lines of std text. If using images, the maximum height is the equivelant of 3 lines of std text, and no wider than 640 pixels.

Posting in For Sale sections
Absolutely no links to your Ebay auctions, or Ebay auction numbers.

No posting for sale items in the 'wrong' areas to get around the postcount limits.

Currently, need to be a Junior Member (over 50 posts) to advertise your car, and an Intermediate Member (over 250 posts) to advertise parts.

If you are a buyer, please ensure you are happy and confident with the seller before parting with money.

General Posting
Keep posts relevant, short, and on topic, especially on Help threads, and meeting organisation threads.  General Chat is the only area where we expect things will go off at a tangent!

Keep titles relevant, and not just 'Help me' etc.  Not everybody has time to read every thread ;)

Use English, no text speak which is notoriously difficult to read.

Members being offensive to other members will not be tolerated.

DON'T USE CAPITALS!  LOOKS LIKE YOUR SHOUTING!!

No discussion of acquiring or distributing copyrighted material.  If you legally own/licenced the material, thats fine.

No thread bumping (posting on a thread, purely to get it to back to top of the list).

Welcoming new members - keep this only to those members who have posted their hello thread within the last week.

General Help
Remember, there is a search facility. Many problems have been discussed before so please use the search facility first.  :)

No Worries Mate, I'm currently sitting in a car park in Banbury on the laptop with my 3g doggle plugged in :-/

I'm waiting on my boss who is nearly on hour late >:(

By the time I'm finished tonight that will be another 550 miles under my belt today, currently in the last 14 months I've done 80,000miles in the A8 and I've been as far north as Ullapool and as far south as Cornwall and as far east as Berlin at 165 mph and I'm of to Paris next week in it :o

Anyway I'II enjoy the Stella if I ever get away long enough from behind this wheel [smiley=beer.gif]
