New PC
« on: 18 November 2008, 19:25:46 »

Just blown over £400 at ebuyer, and since I did my quote the prices have gone up by about £20 :o

Saw links to cheaper places but the reviews put me off them

Q6600 chip
2GB RAM
2TB of hard disks

MB with firewire.

Our P4 2.4 keeps locking up now :(

Hope it was a 965 mobo or better :)

Unless your old drives were SATA, you may have a problem.  Also, for XP, you may need F6 driver for modern SATA controllers, so keep the floppy handy (Vista can get from usb stick)

Edit: Can't read - see you have disks.
