Nice pair... but are they real or fake?

This Omega was spotted today somewhere on the continent (I am on holiday, but not from this site!), can anyone spot what is unusual about this car?

Looking closely at the first picture, it actually has two exhausts.
Maybe the owner shoehorned a V8 lump into it ;D

Hey Rod....you really should get SWMBO to look after her car ;D - I take it the 1HP is still in the stable!!

Yeah, the 24v Straight Six was proving too thirsty, but it's costing a fortune in hay and the aircon don't work!!

Right on both counts: it's an odd V8 exhaust setup on a 2.5TD, and I do need a new camera...

Since I didn't see who the car's owner was, no idea if he actually went into the trouble of setting-up two rear boxes, or perhaps one is fake. But I suspect that it is a proper dual setup - the left pipe is identical to the right one and seems a little out of place compared to the location of the original pipe.

Not unusual, seen a twin rear exhaust setup before on an omega.....in fact, didn't Irmscher do one....
