august my old mig was suffering from rot in the crossmembers and as it had covered 351???miles i pulled it off road and bought my present mig as a stopgap until i could find and afford the sort i wanted.
this stopgap has for past 5 weeks caused lots of trouble with eml light and had many parts replaced to try and cure it. i'm currently at my final point of remedy replacing fuel pump which i will post result in general help tommorrow afternoon.
if this is successful the stopgap still needs 4 tyres, droplinks wishbones, and outer balljoints, and then a trip to wim. it also needs chipping in hope to get anywhere near the economy of my old mig. and may need a viscous fan as the current is being left off due being permanantly engaged.
my big mistake this year is that i should have just had a pair of front jacking point crossmembers welded in and mot'd my old mig and footed the bill until the right replacement came up.
there are 2 morals to my story which i have learnt to my misery "better the devil you know" and "never open a new can of worms"
the good thing about this year is that i have discovered "oof"
