As regards the Falklands.

One of the things that made it possible was the British Merchant Navy.  Sadly a thing of the past, there are ships on the British register for tax purposes that are neither British crewed or owned, and anything British owned is abroad for the same reason.  British crewed from top to toe is very rare these days.

Not being picky (yes, I am !)  but shouldn't that be "Bow to stern" of "Fore to aft"    Too much time on my hands

The problem with them is, they dont like to work.And the technology

they all have is import..

    And about Great Britain..May be dont have money..But have the

necessary skills, technology and good educated people..This can

change everything..Imho only lacking population..And thats easy to

solve

  And about China..They have the money, population and technology..

(though the population work under bad conditions) ..
