if its coming up as a 3.2 then gauge your quotes off that, police tend to be basically an MV6

gocompare.com got me the best quotes, some insurers that are good for some people can be bad for others because of where people live and their other circumstances taken into account

Thanks for that ive done the quotes as an mv6 and they come in cheaper than an elite ! the only prob is it still shows up as an auto i guess i`ll have to find the cheapest one then ring and explain thats its a manual not an auto

You usually have the option of filling in the car's details yourself if, what they think the should be from the reg number, doesn't match up with the actual car.  :y

It wont show on any price comparison website because it wasn't for sale to the public. The person you speak to if you ring up wouldn't be able to find it either because they only have the same drop-down menu that we have.
They would usually pass you on to the underwriter for a 'one-off' quote. (A big one)

I put this through with norwich union as mv6 auto then rang then with the reference number, got reffered to the underwriter and they knocked £4 off fo the manual. £224 full comp, 45yr old, full no claims.Gwent.

3.2 special, 2003, manual ex plod

Best to get a quote and a reference number then call them.

cheaper than my 1998 2.5 auto GLS !!!!!!!!!
