ps..... I will reveal my latest acquisition at the weekend AFTER we have collected it. All I can say about that one is it is not as nice as this, but one hell of a bargain!!!!!!!!!

Why do you want the Elite seats Laidback? - The MV6 ones are far more supportive, and better than the Elite ones IMO

In an elite...no. I want the proper electric seats which I can tie in with the self dipping mirror.

Very very nice indeed!  Gorgeous colour too (well of course - it's the same as mine:)).  Ya know i'm really slowly coming round to the facelift, I think.  Still think only the mother of the designer could like the way that front bumper jutts out, but any other view (that doesn't show it) is just fine .  Get yourself an irmscher grill - helps a lot.

Will be interesting to see if you have the extra memory loom out to the mirrors.  You'd expect it, being an elite, but as the sports pack was specced from the factory and it deletes the auto dimming mirror, they might not have bothered fitting the memory loom at all as it would be redundant (and they're stingy barstewards).  Without it, it will be horrible to get the memory mirrors working with elite seats, although simply powering up an auto dimming interior mirror won't be too much of a problem.

Personally I'd keep the sports seats!  They look great imho and are lovely to sit on.  Memory is a nice toy to show off, but how often do you move your seats?  Or of course you could realise my life's ambition and hybrid elite frames with sports squabs to create the ultimate omega seats.  Wonder how much of a pig that job would be...

The thought's crossed my mind from time to tiime!!

I wouldn't have thought it'd be too much of a difficult job to use the best bits of both. AFAIK, they both use the same frames, it's just the bolsters that are different.

IIRC, one of the guys from ABS did a similar thing where he used the bolsters off GSI seats on a set of Senny ones 'cos the frame was broken. The same principle should apply I think.

You can definietly convert the sports seat to full memory ones. Motors would need to be added etc, but frame size is basically same, so no reason why not. All you need is a needle and thread that works on cow skin.
