Team Lotus
« on: 29 November 2008, 18:19:34 »

Just watching Anglia news Item about Team Lotus. All the old F1 cars from Jim Clarks to Senna,s are on display at Hethel this weekend.
Anyone in the Norfolk vicinity might want to take a look.  :y
The Anglia news girl said the cars driven "Fitypiladee" were part of the display. ::) ::) ;D

The JPS Lotus 72 in black and gold livery was the best looking F1 car ever in my opinion....raced mainly by Ronnie Peterson....Jacky Ickx ....and of course Emerson Fittipaldi. :y :y :y

Without a shadow of a doubt ... the best looking F1 car  ... EVER

I remember making a model of one .. spent hours getting it "just right" ... then a drunken mate broke it

Sorry I believe the first picture I showed was of the 1978 version, but this is the 1972 one at Monza in that year, even with the gold wheels:

Even better! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) :y

Have to agree. Saw them raced at Brands in 1970-something. Absolutely stunning. Funnily enough, I also recall some very hot "babes" at that meeting dressed in black tops and gold hot pants handing out free JPS fags.

Oh, those were the days.  ;) :)

Well I was in the uniform of Her Majesty’s Royal Navy, so you should have come to me a bowed, let alone said hello. ;D ;D ;D

One or two other minor points; no computers, no Migs, no internet, no oof, how the hell did we manage our day to day lives, and no mobile phones either.... ::) ::) ::)
