£110? Surely it's worth more to a breaker? The 4 new tyres must be worth that...

Poor person.

Exactly, beleive me if I had the room to store it I would have had a punt, especially as it's only 10 miles from me ::)

Sorry to dissapoint you h21 but the price of steel round are way is now so laughably low it not worth collecting.

Last lot, 700ish kilos or pounds cant remeber which but I no miggy struggled with it on the trailer. I got £56. and it was all clean steel, it required no sorting at the yard. I have now tried to different yards and the prices are very similar.

I took an escort to be weighed that I had filled with scrap metal (total weight was 1.4t),and all I got was £7.15. worked out at £5 a ton.

At that price it's worth popping the heads off to find out what's going on.

Could be an easy fix for someone...

Still strong money round this way and has been for some time....

Mind you, compasses deviate from mag north when folks pass the half dozen yards in Kirkcaldy, such is the size of the crushed scrap piles....!

Oh well i had hoped to get a few quid moving these two out, i guess the other side of the coin is scrappers would proabably charge to pick up your car right now then... :o  :-/

So its all relative i guess....
