Your nearest branch would be either Witney, Oxford or Swindon, Wiltshire. But keep a look out as there could be a branch opening near you!!!

I think its worth looking into.

Personally, there are some parts I'll always use genuine, and some parts I'll use pattern.

Some eg prices would be good :y
Agreed  :y

I "third" that!

Paul,

My forum name is mike213735....can't beleive you forgot mine but remembered Marti's and Rob's, I'm hurt!

Yes, my cambelt kit and waterpump are still going great, covered about 3k now and no problems. I was supplied with a Gates Powergrip kit by VX1.

Let me know how this goes. Don't forget to mention that we have used your premises for our mini fix it meets in the Reading meet section.

Oh, must go and vote.

Thanks
Mike (mike213735, in case you forget Paul)

Right just to let you all know that I have spoken to the call centre manager and he has put something in place. If you require parts from Motaquip please contact me first, through pm, and I will give you the password or you can phone me on 07900447752 and I will give it to you that way as well. You can use any branch that is close to you............

Witney, Oxford
Bristol
Melksham
Swindon
Newbury
Reading.
The person that you speak to in the Branch might need to speak to the call centre Manager as he know's about it, Plus you will need to say to them Omega Owners Forum as well.

Looks good Vx1. :y

I will agree with (the boy?) that some things really need to be Vx e.g. Cam cover gaskets and manifold gaskets, but otherwise brake parts (slightly controversial I know) steering components etc. are all generally good from motor factors.  Car manufacturers do not make every single part of a car, 80% of each car is sub-contracted in, and even if a part only lasts half the time, but is half the cost then consider it a spread payment plan  ::)

I just bought some HT leads for the car cost me £25 all in. Now these leads are made by Delco Remy so the price isn't to bad at all so expect to pay near that price for something like that. They have told me that the prices are going tobe good for forum members, so if anyone is to far away then I am sure someone on here would get them for you and post them onto you.

In theory this is a great idea and should be praised.

However in practice there are too few branches to be of use to most of us and they are in too small an area.

If it were a nationwide branch network that would be fantastic.

Well done for sorting it though mate and I am sure those local to your branches will be taking you up on this.

Hi,

Any more news on the prices, I've just found out that the cambelt tensioner is not available here in South Africa, so I'm very interested in purchasing some items, in particular

2001 Omega 2.6V6

OOF CamBelt DVD
Cam Belt Kit (inc tensioner)
Water Pump

I really need a supplier who can organise all the parts and send them to our shippers at Heathrow, they will then ship them over to SA, I have a UK bank account so can pay by bank transfer, or if preffered credit card.

Anyone any suggestions ?

Brad

Anyone suggest anything else whilst I'm doing the cambelt
