Yes that is all very interesting but in some ways quiet frightening, especially about the capabilities of computers by 2049. :o :o :o

It is envisaged by some in the academic world that by 2050 computers will be so powerful that they will decide man has become an irrelevance and a dangerous risk. :o :o :(   What then? :-? :-? :-?

All that says to me is that communication is getting faster and to a
larger simultaneous audience.

The problem will arise if they build a self learning Artificial Intelligence,
devoid of emotion and morality, working on pure logic.
You can imagine the conversation.

Government Minister:
SuperComputer. We have a problem.

SuperComputer:
Please state the nature of the problem.

Government Minister:
We have 50 million people but only have enough food to support
25 million.

SuperComputer clicks a few billion AND/OR gates and addresses
the problem. It hacks into the mobile phone networks ans sends
a sonic pulse down to 25 million mobile phones, turning the users
brains to mush.

SuperComputer:
Problem solved Minister.
Minister? ....  Minister?

SuperComputer hacks into internal video cameras and sees the
minister slumped in his opulent green leather armchair, with his
brain turned to mush and blood trickling out of his nose and ears.

SuperComputer:
Bugger!
