Nice one, hope it goes well.

Guessing £30 is for 1/2 labour?

Was in Halfords today could not believe the price of Oil, some of the top branded Mobile and Castrol stuff was £45 for 5L !!  :o

Even Halfords own cheap brand was £11 for 5L, well chuffed at TC GM stuff at £8.50 + Vat  ;D

I know you do MOTs, so bow to your superior knowledge, but I thought the SRS have to work if fitted?

As of yet no. Just seatbelts have to lock in to the buckle and when pulled release, no frays. You dont even check to make sure the auto locking on the reel works when pulled sharply. No test for pre tensioners  or airbags.
Otherwise i guess we would right off some older cars as airbags have a shelf life normally 10 or 15 years.

Imagine having to replace all your airbags, curtain ones etc.... Would only be ava. from dealers and would with labour cost lots of money.

So be thankfull thus far.
If a tester does fail it ask which part of manual he's quoting, lot of myths about MOT's kept alive by poor testers. >:(
