That's great for you, but how on earth did you change the heater matrix in 40 minutes? :-? :-? ::) ::)

Have I missed something here, but when I replaced one of those on a Carlton some years back it took about three hours, what with stipping the whole facia and dash board out! ;)

Running cooler sounds wierd.  What about in that summer day (just the one Mrs Wembly?) when you turn the heater off and maybe even need to run the A/CI wonder if he ment the front rad or there was something amiss with the HBV?

i cheated lizzie i cut the dash, and you really cannot see where it was cut either unless you are shown,
i was really reluctant to do it at first but i have two young children and a heater was a necessity

basically the heater matrix was blocked and the car would run at approx 95d egrees on the motorway and between 97.5 and 110 in town depending on the traffic but now it is running at about 92.5 on motorway and 95 in town so is definitely running cooler as a result of changing matrix

Well respect to you Shanjon, you are obviously brave to cut into a dash like that and to complete that job so quickly with success. 8-) 8-) 8-) ;)

Have you got any pics showing where you cut so If the worse happens to mine I know where to go in, instead of taking everything apart which I would do without the "cut knowledge"? :-? ;)      :) :)

Thanks Shanjon, that is brilliant!! :y :y :y :y

What a great way to get to the heater matrix, and that will help me greatly if mine goes some time! ;) ;)

Saves taking the whole facia apart! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
