1st thing to do is remove the cats and bang out all the internals then see how it runs !!

That was the plan but unfortunately I just can't get enough room to do it! I'm working on the drive, in the cold and just can't get it high enough!!! On top of that I think it's going to need some Oxy-Acetelene to get it undone ::) ::) ::) The rear clamp nuts are non-existent... Just blobs of metal and the front, although they look OK are in such a position I can't physically get to them from above or below with the space available :( :( :( I'll let them take it on to the place where a reliable, and reasonably priced, VW expert is going to check out the ABS fault and let him do it :y :y :y

Latest update is that I have ordered the new cats and Lambda sensors for them... If anyone ever needs a cat I was impressed with the prices at http://www.cats2go.co.uk... Managed to get the whole lot, including fitting kits, delivered for under £240  :y :y :y

That's only a fraction more than some places were quoting for 1!!! :o :o :o

I'll leave the final decision on whether they get fitted before the car goes for testing to them.
