Some folks will know the name ... renowned for selling high end Omegas for some years, seems he might be starting to move away from Omegas.......

He has been struggling to get good Omega's for a while (said they were getting very hard to come by when I bought mine a while back).

He's also sold a few Signums recently as well.

It will happen to us as well.....ive already got a replacement for my omega.....forced to by local council rules. Newest omega is 5 years old....so unless he wants to sell 5+ years old cars.....then he has to find a replacement.....and it seems to be Chrysler 300....fairly good choice imo.....big cars/rwd/and depreciation from new will be high.....just like omegas really

good looking cars on the outside, but not a fan of that dash.

But in 5 years time, they will be a good replacement for Omegas, especially the V8 Hemi version

I think we've had this issue raised before. Diehards will run them as 20/30 yr old classics. Not sure what i'll do. I understand the taxi dilemma though. When i was cabbing in Lewes (E. Sx.) any car having it's first plate had to be less than 5 yrs. old & could be re plated til 10 yrs old though most were well & truly winkered before then.
    My cars are private not cabs now so i'll find something but what will become of the forum? Signums are no good to me as i need RWD.

300C might suit if the prices drop Specs are quite high .. and so is the fuel consumption   Wonder what an LPG conversion is like ..

so, in the "What, if not an omega?" debate i posted back in the summer(ish?) Mr Budden has cast a fairly hefty vote. The 300c did well as i remember in the omega replacement ideas list. Maybe he knows something we should be looking into, dont want to play into his hands tho tbh.

By the way, the petrol blue elite with parchment leather featured on his site looks very similar spec to one he tried to sell me before i bought mine back in, what, May? I had a look at it, at 5000 asking, it had a major cam cover leak and oil smoke was evident when the bonnet was lifted after the test drive, so i left it thinking he would not accept 2.500. It certainly was not up to his usual standard.

 After buying mine at 3.500 px, which the seller told me he had enquired about, i kept an eye on his site and 2 weeks later the petrol blue was on for £5500 presumeably after the work had been done, which he said he would do. Looks like the same car to me, some 7 months later... def. time to move on for him if it is.

lately he's probably been struggling to sell them as well as getting them, hence the change...?

the 300C's are very cheap cars and have a great presence but i hear they're not especially fantastic as far as cars go, you have to really be taken by their looks to really love them (to be honest, i am!)

a friend of mine had one, it was towed away not long after he got it though because a minor power steering fault meant it wouldnt release the steering lock and it was undrivable!!

the next few years will be interesting for the 300C, they are getting to the end of their 3yr mot free period and the lease companies are staring to off-load aged stock into the market place.....

The diesel is supposed to to be the good one, i had one for a weekend and was getting 35 mpg when driven hard, so i would expect to see 40 mpg on a good run at least, always look for days with the driver pack, that gives you sunroof, satnav, and wood trim rather than the plastic/wood trim, it looks so much better

I still like them, they have a bit of a chavvy image and that unfortunately may get worse as they get cheaper  

once they are sub 10k then i will be having a good look

I think they look great. I've rented one or two when I've been in the US. Makes you feel like a gangster - especially if you are driving a black one
