just watching mike oldfields tubular bells on bbc4. live studio version. bloody amazing piece of music.  :y :y

We all used to lie around in our younger days under certain hallucinogenics during the day, smoke to come down in the afternoon, on the bikes to the pub, (Proper biker rock pubs in those days) back to whoevers place/squat & do it all again, so yeah i remember Tubular Bells.
  That was MANY years ago but we were all young once. ::)

did you know tubular bells and boy george made Richard Brandson his first millions, he then went onto create Virgin Atlantic.

Always reminds me of the exorcist  seen the film in Toulon when I was 17 and drunk weird experience that still makes me cringe when I remember it.

Tubular bells kick started the virgin empire,but it was well on its way before boy goerge came along (circa 1983 ?)
Personally i always found it quite pretentious and a bit tedious.
