They are both in my experience mens habits, just like not putting the toilet seat back down! >:( >:( ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Mind you, I would sooner have my man put the wrappers back in the tin than all over the floor as is also very usual!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well ---- In previous lives, married to women and with three daughters, also my time spent as a single parent with two of the daughters at home, I cannot recall a single time anyone other than myself has replaced the loo roll

Mind you I did recently have a rude awakening when visiting the loo in the middle of the night only to sit on the hard, cold, and somewhat difficult to perch on rim, when I had left the seat up!  TBH I usually put it down as well as close the lid, a habit developed mainly to stop the kids dropping toys down there!!!

Yes, and in truth it does help to save, although not totally, the carpet / floor tiles! ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

I also admit that I have sometimes forgot myself the fact that the lid is down along with the seat.  Most upsetting when you are squatting in the dark at three in the morning!! :o :o :o :D ;)
